I am

exceptional

a powerful human

being me

it occurred to me

what is my why

to do what I am doing

I smiled

to open you to see you

your truth

your human side

being you

we are separate and yet

so completely connected

to each other

by words

in this sharing of my art

my creations

these gifts from nature

I realized

I am exceptional

I am not

the tagline of others

in years long past

average

less than

unworthy

fearful of being me

these taglines created my hurdles

to find to understand to heal

in me

before

I could see real me

words did this

words hold great power

spoken at times unknowingly

humans not being in their truth

speak in the space

of what they know

projecting words of pain

wounding young humans

trying to find their way

of being

in their truth

a child knows how exceptional

they are

celebrating their being

until words hurt wound

then the shutdown begins within

believing another’s words

as truth

a different tagline is learned

we are exceptional humans

from the day we arrive

our being knows this

our world changes this

I ask that you listen to you within

soul speaks all the time

seeking your attention

please listen

I am exceptional

I listened

you are exceptional

please listen

we are beings of greatness

just waiting to be remembered

smile and remember

how exceptional you are

I see your exceptionalness now

as you are

you are me

we are mirrors to the other

it is here you see your dreams

come to life

knowing

they are meant to be shared

be you

real you
